Truck Lift Axle SPIF
The Truck lift axle SPIF system is designed to control self steering axles on trucks. This includes lifting the axle when reversing, with the 4 ways or an in cab push button, and when the truck is not loaded. The system also lowers the axle when it is loaded or with the in cab push button
This system looks at the weight across the lift axel and the tandems to make sure that the load is balanced and that there is enough weight on the steer axels. This is accomplished by actively looking at the load and adjusting how much weight needs to be put into lift axle.
This system can also be monitored with your phone through a Bluetooth connection
How it works
Reverse lift
the reverse lift feature works by detecting a signal from the transmission and tracking the wheel speed to determine the trucks direction and the axle will lift. The axle will drop after traveling forward after a set amount of time depending on the truck
Reverse alarm
The reverse alarm does not come standard but can be installed upon request. It activates once the truck has been put in reverse and uses the signal the transmission sends.
Load Control
The lift axle will lower or raise depending on the balance of the load on the truck. during installation the controller is calibrated to the weight of the truck and can measure the weight and balance of the load. when calibrated correctly the lift axle controller will make sure that the steer axle and lift axle have a minimum weight percent based on gross weight.
lift axle weight control
The controller will adjust the pressure on the lift axle which will intern put more or less weight on it. This will ensure that the vehicle can be at its highest gross weigh possible at all time.
Mobile Phone app
Each axle lift control unit is equipped with Bluetooth which can be connected to your phone through an app to check on the weights on each axle.
